Celebrating C.W. Parker's 144th Birthday

Jerry Reinhardt introducing
fire eater Rod Sipe
Saturday, April 26 was the third annual Birthday and Anniversary Celebration at the C.W.Parker Carousel Museum in Leavenworth, Kansas. We celebrated C.W.Parker's 144th Birthday and the third anniversary of the Parker Carousel Museum.

Clown Jerry Reinhardt introduced one of our volunteers, Rod Sipe, who put on a show -- he is a fire eater/magician - and all the children present loved the performance. He even lit C.W.'s birthday cake with the flames from his mouth.!!

We also had coloring sheets for the children - when they finished one, they got a ride on the 1913 Parker carousel. Free cake, ice cream and lemonade was enjoyed by all. Also celebrating birthdays on that day were Carousel Crew member Louis Klemp, and Reinhardt's granddaughter Julie Reinhardt.
