Identify a Carousel Figure

1. If you have a carousel figure and you are not sure of its identity, send photos to the NCA Archives, and we will identify it for you.

When emailing photos please be aware of how large the files are and how many photos. A reasonable total amount of data for one email would be around 500 KB or one half MB. Send photos of the figure from as many angles as possible.

The photos can be sent as printed copies via the U.S. Mail to the following address, or via E-mail (using JPEG format) sent to the NCA ID Committee

NATIONAL CAROUSEL ASSOCIATION
Patrick Wentzel, Census Chairman
2310 Highland Avenue
Parkersburg, WV 26101-2920

Any photos identified will be posted on this National Carousel Association Web Site,
www.NCA-USA.org to help others identify carousel figures.

2. Send as much information as you have about the carousel figure. Where it was obtained, or the Park or location it came from, and whether it has been restored, or is in original condition.

3. Normally, only the manufacturer of the carousel horse, perhaps the style or name of the figure, and the approximate year it was carved, can be provided.

4. NO VALUATIONS WILL BE GIVEN!

5. There is no fee for this service, but a donation to the NCA Preservation Fund would be appreciated. Donations should be sent to:

To learn more about carousels and help preserve those remaining, we invite you to become a member of the NCA.

Have a Merry Go Round Day!                                                                   Jerry Reinhardt
