Since 1973 the National Carousel Association has been working
to keep America's remaining carousels in operation. Through a
wide range of programs and projects, the NCA has participated
in the restoration and preservation of many of the antique
carousels in operation in our country today.
PTC #33 has survived a fire (some of the figures still show charring as a reminder). It also came within a few hours of being auctioned off. Many of The saddles are
covered with velvet.
The carousel has a very unique appearance because all of its horses are painted
in shades of grey and white.
