The Jubilee Steam Gallopers ride is the center piece of Carter's Steam Fair. It is one of two rides in the fair that is operated by steam.

The ride features 30 Orton and Spooner style horses, two chariots and a Gavioli band organ. Early pictures show that a number of cockerels (or roosters) once rode with the horses, but they have all been replaced with horses. The outside row horses were repainted in 2003.

The steam and smoke from the centre engine is vented through the hollow metal centre pole of the ride.
